Yes yes.

A round of applause for the live recording.
And yes, Silent Hill. The uhh... "left hand" pattern is much like the Silent Hill theme of what I remember from "The Room" I think it was called... Angels.. something something.. not sure.

But this was amazing! I thought I was going to get bored of just a piano, but you kept it interesting. Well Done!

Hawkian responds:

Thank you all for the comments. I never expected anybody to listen. :D

I have played a couple of the Silent Hills and I'm not sure which melodic theme you mean but maybe if I go back and listen I'll know. It's certainly possible it affected my subconscious, as that is a creepy freaking game. But this is an original work, promise!

Simply amazing

I loved every single melody in this song.
Excellent horns!
The harp and bells give it that peaceful feel. The feeling before a surprise attack.
You're just sitting around the camp, not aware that dangers are just over the hill.
You suddenly have his sick feeling in your stomach. Something's wrong. You see arrows coming at you n every which direction.
You and your men fight them off and finally are getting settled again, then a second wave comes at you from the trees. You, your men, and they charge towards each other in the middle of the field.
You can hear nothing but the clashing of metal and the screams of agony.
The fight to the Death.

:) you've painted this picture for me.

Armymenis12 responds:

Wow! I am flattered. I never knew my music could paint such vivid pictures. Thank you for your insight ;) .

Well done!

I love the piano in here, and how the strings just accentuate everything.

I love how the song builds. Every melody in here.
I think I hear an electric guitar? After the tempo change.

I love the Requiem for a Dream like feel to it.

GREAT SONG! 5/5 10/10 DL

(you cannot imagine how long i've been looking for a song like this. even more inspiration to me)

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Correct! Buy this man a drink. That is indeed electric guitar... something you'll be hearing more of in the future I hope.

And you noticed the tempo change... your incredibley perceptive. Very well done.

Requiem for a Dream is among my favourites, hehe... one day I hope people will be going

"Hey this song has a Milkman-Dan feel to it... don't you think?"

I'm glad you found the song you were looking for.

Sincerely,
MMD

tee hee

This just goes everywhere. I like how it's fast paced and has a sense of urgency.

For some reason... I can picture a movie scene...
Like, near the end of a mystery, where the main character/detective, mentally puts together all the pieces of the puzzle and smiles at the pure genious of it all.
Like that magic movie.. uhh.. not The Prestige.. but... that other one.

Anyways.. this was very enjoyable.

Check out my newest.

MJTTOMB responds:

Woah. Honored to get a review from you, man.

The Illusionist? Haha, I was watching that last night. That's kinda wierd.

Thanks again, I'll be sure to review your newest.

Basic is right

This is very well made, but it isn't different from any other song out there.

Sounds just like a normal trance song out there.

It doesn't scream out number one hit.
It doesn't make me want to dance.
It doesn't make me want to roll.
It wouldn't be a favorite of mine.
It's just a song that would be stuck in the back of my hard drive somewhere.

Again, it's put together very well, and has some pretty good melodies.
Good beat/rhythm.
Just.. nothing new.

Psybot responds:

Thx alot =)

I will be thinking about that i the future b^^d

Cool

First off...
Congratulations on the weekly top 5!

What they were saying with that high note, I would've liked to hear it eventually get gated while you turn the volume down, instead of just cuttin it off. Maybe even turn it into one of the major melodies in this piece while gating it.

This was very well put together.

NOOOOOOOO!!! the ending... =\
I hate it when people just fade everything away as the outro. It doesn't make the song complete.

Great kicks and bassline.
Good transitions. (would've liked to hear something more creative than just extra kicks then a crash)

But the way the song built up was great.

Good job on the song!
Keep it up.

(come check my stuff out) :D

Confused me

I Love the melodies in here but it just seems like... things are a bit off......

The beginning was awesome, i love that melody.
but i didn't really like the claps as a roll.

really good though!

i2

check me out.

Twistedtechnology responds:

lol, everyone's mistakeing those for claps...the sample has it labled asa snare, but i guess you have a point XD

Glad you called that out though, i'll keep that in mind for my next song XD Thanks for the review man!!

Good song

That first synth was a bit loud for me. and i hear a lot of echoing, reverbs everywhere.

the melodies are good though, don't get me wrong.
it's just they're overpowering the rest of the synths/beats.

i like how you put everything together.
love the breakdowns.

i2

check my stuff out sometime.

Pretty good remake

but it's still only a remake.

There's a whole lot of echoing going on, and the sudden changes of synths just throws you off.

i know its hard to keep a trance song diverse, and i see you trying to make it diverse.. but maybe use some transitions for the diff. synths.

everything else sounded great!

keep it up.

check out m stuff

Nice

Your melodies are spectacular.
For some reason I really like your bassline.
The beat could've been better.

This song is really mellow and chilled out with great notes.

I was unhappy with how it just ended though, but... I tend to do that sometimes.

Keep it up!
