Chill as fuuuuuccckkk!!!!!

Hey, how's it goin' man?
This track is sooo chillin'. I love the simple slow melody with the fast repetitive bleeping in the back along with the silky smothe pads. Great balance.
The beats were pretty nice too, although i would've liked to see a bit more change in it.
Excellent effects.

Good stuff man. Seriously.

Hey, things are going fine. My exams are almost done now and thank fuck for that! It'll give me pure free time to produce music over the summer!

I chose a rough-ish pad which was the first sound you hear and added to that to create the overall effect. Repetitivness has been an issue for me for a long time and I think I have almost solved it too.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and produce more stuff like this!

MAESTRO!!!!

How have you been???? I haven't been on here in a while. Only logged on to give this a review.

I absolutely love that instrument! I don't know what it is, but it reminds me of so many different things.

It sounds like you've been greatly broadening your horizons. Such a wide range in skill!

Amazing stuff man...

Anyways... I'm at work so I've got to go now.

KEEP IT UP!!!!!

MaestroRage responds:

Hey i2! It has been a long time indeed! I'm doing fine thanks, keeping busy as always.

By that instrument I assume you mean the opening one. That is called the Duduk (Doo Dook), an instrument of Turkish origin. It is used often in ethnic suited songs, and is popular in said genres and styles, so it's probably not something entirely new to you.

I have been broadening, hopefully soon i'll get my act together and expand in other genres ;D!

Thank you for the review, i'm glad you liked it! I'll keep it up as long as I can!

Wussup man!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I haven't been on here a while and remembered your name so i thought Y'd check you out again. Awesome shit dude, foreal. Really nice, crisp beat.
A simple melody with a few nice changes.

I can totally hear a French girl whispering sweet nothings into the microphone. Singing a sweet tune or something. lol.

Glad to see you still making music!. :)

I'll be back to check up on your stuff.

Keep it up man!

'Sup, long time no speak eh?
Well I'm glad you enjoyed my music so much and for remembering me after a while.
I don't know when you took a break from Newgrounds but I was still producing my music. I started experimenting with sounds and different techniques which produces my later 2007 and my 2008 works.

Now this news may be a bit of a shock now, but I moved from Newgrounds to last FM for reasons on my main page and as stated above. I shall have my first album on there within 4 months.

Like to here any of your new works if you have any.

Hey

This song has a nice steady beat.
Bassline is pretty good.
The melody sounds a bit random but still good at the same time.
Am not diggin the Filter in-out-in-out-in-out-in-out on the synth. I understand you were trying to make it trippy, but this was just... agitating. Sorry.

Anyways, keep it up dude.

p.s.
Have you tried takin' acid? If you're naturally an unhappy person... It will be one of the worst trips in your life.

Well, yeah, I just wanted to make something no one else has. Oh well.
I had weed laced with PCP and I blacked out. That was it.

Amazing

Hello there Maestro!

This song has put so many feelings into me.
Anger, anticipation, depression, a feeling of selflessness (?), sooo many things.

I love how in the beginning you keep speeding up the tempo. For some reason it makes me think of The Seven Dwarfs if they had been working for the witch herself.

The fast paced strings were amazing! Along with the triangle and the choir building up to each transition. Just sends chills down my spine.

Then the oboe/clarinet with the flute and the subtle use of the strings.
You truely paint powerful messages through your music.

And then it ends! :(
Great music Maestro. I hope your imagination, inspiration, and creativity never fades.

MaestroRage responds:

The seven dwarfs if they were working for the witch instead eh... I've never thought of this scenerio, and truth be told the more I think on it, the more interesting it weaves to me. I mean what if through time the dwarves corrupted? Could you imagine how Grumpy would be... if he turned pyschotic. Suddenly Grumpy has become to be known as Grinder. For several reasons...

It does end rather abruptly, but that wasn't my fault for once!!! The video ends abruptly too :D!

I'm glad you were able to feel as many emotions as you did, that is indeed what I was hoping for. Thank you for the review i2abbitz! I'm glad you liked it ^^.

Yes yes.

A round of applause for the live recording.
And yes, Silent Hill. The uhh... "left hand" pattern is much like the Silent Hill theme of what I remember from "The Room" I think it was called... Angels.. something something.. not sure.

But this was amazing! I thought I was going to get bored of just a piano, but you kept it interesting. Well Done!

i2

Hawkian responds:

Thank you all for the comments. I never expected anybody to listen. :D

I have played a couple of the Silent Hills and I'm not sure which melodic theme you mean but maybe if I go back and listen I'll know. It's certainly possible it affected my subconscious, as that is a creepy freaking game. But this is an original work, promise!

Simply amazing

I loved every single melody in this song.
Excellent horns!
The harp and bells give it that peaceful feel. The feeling before a surprise attack.
You're just sitting around the camp, not aware that dangers are just over the hill.
You suddenly have his sick feeling in your stomach. Something's wrong. You see arrows coming at you n every which direction.
You and your men fight them off and finally are getting settled again, then a second wave comes at you from the trees. You, your men, and they charge towards each other in the middle of the field.
You can hear nothing but the clashing of metal and the screams of agony.
The fight to the Death.

:) you've painted this picture for me.

Armymenis12 responds:

Wow! I am flattered. I never knew my music could paint such vivid pictures. Thank you for your insight ;) .

Well done!

I love the piano in here, and how the strings just accentuate everything.

I love how the song builds. Every melody in here.
I think I hear an electric guitar? After the tempo change.

I love the Requiem for a Dream like feel to it.

GREAT SONG! 5/5 10/10 DL

i2

(you cannot imagine how long i've been looking for a song like this. even more inspiration to me)

MilkMan-Dan responds:

Correct! Buy this man a drink. That is indeed electric guitar... something you'll be hearing more of in the future I hope.

And you noticed the tempo change... your incredibley perceptive. Very well done.

Requiem for a Dream is among my favourites, hehe... one day I hope people will be going

"Hey this song has a Milkman-Dan feel to it... don't you think?"

I'm glad you found the song you were looking for.

Sincerely,
MMD

tee hee

This just goes everywhere. I like how it's fast paced and has a sense of urgency.

For some reason... I can picture a movie scene...
Like, near the end of a mystery, where the main character/detective, mentally puts together all the pieces of the puzzle and smiles at the pure genious of it all.
Like that magic movie.. uhh.. not The Prestige.. but... that other one.

Anyways.. this was very enjoyable.

i2

Check out my newest.

MJTTOMB responds:

Woah. Honored to get a review from you, man.

The Illusionist? Haha, I was watching that last night. That's kinda wierd.

Thanks again, I'll be sure to review your newest.
